Boisé Ascot-Lennox

The Boisé Ascot-Lennox is the largest forested area in Sherbrooke: 280 hectares of interior forest. It connects the communities of Ascot and Lennoxville. The Boisé Ascot-Lennox is located on the ancestral territory of the W8banaki Nation. 

ABAL believes the woodland must be protected because it is a natural environment of great value, to be preserved for its proximity, biodiversity, ecosystem services, benefits to physical and mental health and educational potential. 

Under intense pressure from real estate development, this natural gem is at risk of being exploited at the expense of its ecological and social value.
